Our team is led by founder, director and cinematographer, Guto Bussab:
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, where his work experience in advertising began, Guto moved to South Africa in 1994 to work as an art director, winning prestigious international accolades from the Cannes International Advertising Festival and New York Festivals, London Awards and Loerie Awards. A passion for film eventually led him to launch his own film production house, Muti Films. Since then he has directed numerous TV commercials (locally, and abroad), several music videos, branded content and the web-series GAZE. Gangster’s Paradise: JERUSALEMA (a Muti Films production) is a critically acclaimed feature film (directed by Ralph Ziman / produced by Tendeka Matatu), and co-produced by Guto Bussab. He was part of the team that brought the title World Design Capital 2014 to the city of Cape Town and became one of the programme’s curators. Guto Bussab is also a multidisciplinary fine artist and photographer.
